Introducing salut beauté, a brand that injects a pinch of the Parisienne into our Stockport studio. Salut’s vision entails creating uniforms for women to conquer the world (or the everyday) in! Their cute pastiches of 60’s and 70’s workwear make for the most delightful collection of truly unique yet classic garments to dress up or down, whether it’s a party piece or office chic that you’re looking for…
The Air Uniform is characterised by big buttons, classic cuts and stand-out simplicity. The Dark Blue Skirt is the checkered mini skirt of our dreams, and paired with some Miista Malene boots and a cute lil knit top, it’s giving *icon*. And for those who tend to lean towards trousers when opting for sexy and suited, the Dark Blue Trousers have got you! Their slightly flared leg makes for a gorgeous composition that would look great with a pair of heeled loafers and a crew neck vest for this summer’s girlie-boss look.
We’re also delighted to feature some of Salut’s denim pieces in our collection, in the hope that we can fill some of the holes in your wardrobe with pieces that you will cherish for years to come. The Raw Denim Dress undeniably pays homage to its namesake Air Uniform, with a subtly retro look inspired by the babydoll shape of the 60’s. In gorgeous upcycled indigo blue, the dress is certain to wow any onlookers who are privy to your Parisian fantasy! Plus there’s the Salut staple trousers, with their uniform line of buttons running from waist to ankle, in the slightly more day-to-day light denim. All bases covered!
Not to forget the most beautiful White Cotton Shirt, a feature from the Gardener Uniform that is the surest way to elevate your sophistication. The bold, pointed collar references the 70’s whilst the arched hem at the bottom of the shirt stays in-keeping with the pared back timelessness of the rest of the collection. Absolutely love how this piece looks when layered underneath a Mundaka vest, or simply flowing on its own - it’s strong and feminine and completely fabulous!
Meeting the brand during fashion week this February was a milestone moment for The Norah Store. We came away with added love and appreciation for the clothes knowing that the team behind their creation were amazing, and hold a similar belief that the future of fashion can be sustainable without compromising on the looks that we dream to wear! The pieces are Parisian through and through, with all design, construction and shooting taking place right there, in a city that so clearly inspires and defines the clothes, and we were lucky enough to be given an insight into it all! We tried on so many of the styles that we are able to share with you today, but keep your eyes peeled as we may have some more surprises up our sleeve coming from Salut this summer.
