Norah Vintage is handpicked and carefully curated vintage clothing.  Handpicked means that instead of buying by the kilo, we pick each item by eye at our suppliers, inspecting each piece for quality, style and authenticity.

Our current stock is all bought within the UK, reducing air miles and the carbon footprint that comes with shipping from abroad.  Buying in vintage clothing contributes to a circular economy, which is a sustainable alternative to the fast fashion industry.  By restyling and rewearing a garment, you increase its life span and stop clothing going into landfill.  You also find amazing one off pieces that no one else is going to have!

We understand that shopping vintage or preloved can be daunting, as there is so much to rummage through and trying to find something can be difficult.

At Norah we do the hard part for you, and present a carefully curated selection of the best womenswear from the 1960s - 1990s.  We only sell true vintage, meaning we don't sell second hand items from the past 20 years.   You can buy from us knowing that each item is mended if necessary, laundered and spot cleaned.  We want to make shopping vintage an easy and enjoyable experience.

The product

House of Sunny is more than ready-to-wear, it’s a crafted staple of the moment with a feeling that lasts. Designed for an easy everyday, each product is carefully crafted to become the perfect addition to elevate any wardrobe which can transition through the seasons. Quality is always foremost in thought whilst ensuring affordability is never sacrificed to achieve this.

Our Heritage

Founded by Sunny Williams in 2011, House of Sunny is an independent womenswear brand based in London. We have evolved ever since and are really grateful for the support we continuously receive from our retail partners across the world and amazing customers which the team refer to as ‘The Homies’.

We pride ourselves on producing small sustainable runs of collections, acting against fast fashion. Producing two seasonal collections a year sets the design team at a slower pace, allowing us time to research then source sustainable fabrics and manufacturing methods. We are committed to creating quality garments, which last and can be worn season after season.

As a brand, we are on a journey towards sustainability and are conscious of our environmental impact. Our production partners overseas are visited frequently and our process is always ethical. We put product first—how and where we make it matters.

We do not use fur, leather, skins or silk and the wool we do use is course from producers with good animal husbandry. We are making a conscious effort to reduce waste through using leftover materials to create accessories as well as making our care labels and swing tags from garment waste.

Nordic Muse Environmental Policy

Nordic Muse is committed to the highest standards of performance in terms of quality and service to our customers.

We are committed to minimising our impact on the environment, preventing pollution and protecting the health & safety of all individuals affected by our activities while in the pursuit of quality design and manufacturing.

It is estimated that at least 100 million people – workers and families— worldwide are involved in artisanal mining. So, the goal is to help them mine safely, and make sure that enough mining revenue remains with them so they can invest in the clean water, schools, and other services their families and communities need.

With advice from the Responsible Jewellery Council, Nordic Muse has defined standards for responsible jewellery practices across business ethics, human rights and social performance, environmental performance and management systems.

The principle elements of our policy are:

  • Comply with and exceed all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Continually improve and monitor environmental performance.
  • Continually improve and reduce environmental impacts.
  • Incorporate environmental factors into business decisions.
  • Increase employee awareness and training.

Monitoring and Improvements

  • We will comply with and exceed all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • We will continually improve and monitor environmental performance.
  • We will continually improve and reduce environmental impacts.
  • We will incorporate environmental factors into business decisions.
  • We will increase employee awareness through training.
  • We will review this policy and any related business issues at our monthly management meetings.

Leatherback Turtles travel to British Waters looking for jellyfish.

Sadly they mistake our discarded plastic bags for their favourite food.

Inspired by turtles, Turtle Bags are a practical reminder that plastic never goes away

Way back in 2001 when plastic bags were still spilling off the end of our supermarket tills, Turtle Bags was established to raise awareness of the hazards of plastic bags and sell alternatives.

Plastic in our seas is a problem which is invisible to most of us in our daily lives but will be causing problems for many decades disrupting food chains and suffocating sealife.

Turtle Bags work with our fair trade partners who share our environmental values to supply environmentally friendly bags.
