Haeckels natural skincare and wild fragrances find a new home at The Norah Store!

Haeckels are a Margate based luxury-lifestyle brand bringing the benefits and textures of coastal living to daily skincare and other practices of self-love. Our interest was peaked at The Norah Store after first discovering the brand and their efficiently sustainable practices last year, and soon we found ourselves to be avid followers, excitedly sharing between us our experiences with our individual Haeckels products that were quickly becoming a collection. The love story between Haeckels and The Norah Store blossomed after our second visit to their London store, soon after we'd launched the beauty branch of the shop. Learning first-hand about the origins of the brand was an enlightening experience and added to our adoration of the products themselves.

Haeckels are a brand driven by an effort to solve the waste problem - be that through the employment of natural botanicals such as seaweed across their range of products, or through their packaging, which offers fully recyclable or compostable solutions to the community. In addition to avowing a responsibility to care for the planet, Haeckels understand how best to care for our skin, another reason which informs their decision to utilise seaweed in all of their products. Algae Plump + B3 The Algae Plump is a lightweight alternative to hyaluronic acid serums, using a natural formulation to effectively moisturise the skin. Use this after cleansing to add moisture and for best results use on slightly damp skin!

One of the products that intrigued us the most from Haeckels was this Pluviophile Rain Candle, which evokes the scent of raindrops hitting dry coastal stretches, creating a genuinely immersive burning experience. The deep Petrichor fragrance, inspired by crushed shells concrete, sea water and the smell of rain, offers calming respite through its captivating scent, promising to give you a nostalgic holiday on the British coast in those times when a short 'holiday' in our living room looks to be the only viable option! Living up to their circular production model, the candle is packaged in a mushroom mycelium mould which decomposes along with the seeds contained within the biodegradable card packaging, sparking new growth after use! In addition, the glass containing the candle doubles as a cute coffee cup once the candle has completely burnt down- there's so many layers to the design of this product.
